Dean of the Kania School of Management

The University of Scranton (, a Catholic and Jesuit University offering a transformational learning experience, seeks a Dean of the Kania School of Management (KSOM). Reporting to the Provost/Academic Vice President, the Dean of KSOM is the principal administrator of the School of Management and is responsible for the operation of the School. The Dean will be a student-centered collaborative leader responsible for building enrollment and partnerships and interacting with faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and donors to benefit the School.   • A Doctorate degree in a business field
  • An established record of building a culture of student engagement and success
  • Eligible for rank of Associate or Full Professor in one of the departments of the KSOM
  • Experience in an academic leadership role
  • Business accreditation (AACSB preferred) or compliance background
  • Experience in leading curricular innovation to anticipate and meet evolving expectations and opportunities for undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Working with a unionized faculty is a plus
  • Business or corporate experience
  • A commitment to the strong mission of the University
