Robert A. Gervasi, Ph.D. brings together rich experience in higher education and the corporate sector that infuses his work with insight and nuance. He is passionate about empowering organizations to identify and embody a strong sense of mission. When colleges are rooted in mission, students thrive and communities benefit. He notes that growth and success are inextricably connected to clear vision.

His depth of experience in higher education includes having served as president of Quincy University and Ohio Dominican University, among other leadership responsibilities.  He has taught at University of Louisville; McKendree University; Chatfield College in St. Martin, Ohio; Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; Xavier University in Cincinnati; the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania; and The Ohio State University. His experience in the private sector includes marketing and public relations for companies including Bristol-Myers and Procter and Gamble. He served as president and CEO of the Institute for Study Abroad in Indianapolis, which placed 3,000 American students annually at 80 universities across the globe.

Dr. Gervasi has lectured as a Fulbright Scholar in Classics at the University of Zimbabwe. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Association, and he recently was appointed Chair of the committee that will select laureates for the J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding.
