Dr. Mildred Mihlon has been appointed the 7th President of Felician University by a unanimous vote of the Board. Dr. Mihlon has been serving in the capacity of Acting President since April of 2023. Dr. Mihlon brings nearly 25 years of higher education leadership experience to the position with a background in Catholic-based institutions as well as Hispanic and Minority-serving institutions. Dr. Mihlon joined Felician University as the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences in September of 2020 during the global pandemic. She brought a clear and articulated academic vision and energy to the university and secured the most substantial US Department of Education grant in the university’s history.
Lisa A. Lori, J.D., has been appointed as the thirteenth president of Marywood University. Selected after an extensive national search, Lori will begin her tenure on July 1, 2024. Lori makes history as Marywood’s first lay president, and her appointment reflects a growing national trend of lawyer presidents, whose legal training and strategic expertise are highly sought in today’s challenging, complex higher education climate. With her extensive legal background, innovative leadership as Marywood’s former Board Chair, and a link to the IHM Congregation as a commissioned IHM Associate (the IHM lay association), Lori is uniquely qualified to serve as Marywood University’s next president.
