Each interview is unique. A preliminary screening interview with an HR representative will be vastly different than a panel interview late in the process. The more information you have about an interview, and those who will be conducting it, the better off you will be. I always advise individuals to find out who their interviewers will be, if possible.

If you are working through a third-party, such as an executive search firm, they should brief you on this information as a matter of course. If you are speaking directly with the organization, gather this information when you schedule. When setting up your interview, ask “can you outline your interview process and which members of your team facilitate the interviews?”
