Today marks one year since we lost our beloved colleague, Dr. Marylouise Fennell RSM. Weezie was a force for good. Her life and work have left an indelible mark on higher education and on our lives.
One of the things that became clear the moment Weezie walked into any conference was how wide her network was. She knew everyone. Some people seek connections to grow their personal brand or inflate their own ego. Weezie set a much nobler example. She was always serving others, using her connections to further the work of causes she believed in.
Even as we continue to mourn her passing, we recommit ourselves to continuing her legacy. Today, we challenge you to do a professional favor for someone else in Weezie’s honor. Write a reference letter, endorse someone on LinkedIn, send a personal note of encouragement. Together we can carry forward Weezie’s incredible work.
