Most of us think of crafting a résumé as a dry, boring task. If you think writing a résumé is tiring, try reading dozens. Hiring managers churn through résumés all day long. If you want your résumé to stand out, you need to strike the right balance of following the format, while standing out with your content. Our own Cheryl Hyatt was recently featured in Fast Company discussing ways to make your résumé rise to the top. She points out that you should include data that makes your accomplishments concrete:
“What do you oversee? Who do you oversee? How many people do you oversee?” asks Hyatt. “You want to identify information within that résumé that has some data in it, as opposed to just strictly words.”
