Associate Dean of Institutional Planning and Assessment

Bunker Hill Community College (www.BHCC.edu) is one of the most diverse and vibrant institutions of higher learning in Boston, Massachusetts, that hosts nearly 1,000 international students representing 105 countries who speak more than 75 languages. The College seeks a dynamic, Associate Dean of Institutional Planning and Assessment to lead strategic planning and college-wide assessment in alignment with the College’s mission and values, and its commitment to equitable student outcomes.  Reporting to the Dean of Academic Affairs, Research, Assessment and Planning, the Associate Dean of Institutional Planning and Assessment supports strategic planning and assessment activities as part of an institutional culture that promotes and leverages research and data analysis in decision making.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; doctorate preferred; minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably within strategy development, project leadership, data and institutional research, managing employees, and collaboration with faculty and campus stakeholders; knowledge of best practices in higher education assessment, data analysis and information communication; demonstrated commitments to equity, diversity and inclusion; strong analytical skills, and quantitative and qualitative research knowledge and experience; experience with data visualization; knowledge of regional accreditation requirements in support of institutional compliance and related to planning and assessment; current knowledge of federal and state higher education policies, issues, and trends; and experience working with faculty in a shared governance environment.
